Terms of Service

Last updated: 27 August 2026

The deal between you and us, in plain English. Using MyDraftDesk means you agree to what follows.

MyDraftDesk is operated by Blue Tide Exteriors LLC, 1780 E. Bert Kouns Industrial Loop, Suite 907, Shreveport, LA 71105, United States.

1. Current status of the service

Please read this one

MyDraftDesk is a working pilot, not a general release. Plan set generation is built and verified for patio covers and pergolas only. The other nineteen project categories in the app cannot generate anything and are disabled. Drawings are generic blueprint-style layouts rather than to-scale drafted sheets, and the takeoff, vendor, annotation and permit checklist panels currently show sample content rather than your project's data. These terms govern the service as it is available to you.

2. Professional responsibility, and what this is not

This section is the important one. Read it before you rely on anything the app produces.

If your jurisdiction requires drawings prepared or sealed by a licensed professional, you must obtain that separately. Using this service does not satisfy that requirement.

3. The architect review step

Generated plan sets are saved as pending architect review, and a licensed architect either approves the set or returns it with redline notes before it is marked ready.

That review is a review, not a seal. It does not make the set sealed engineering, it does not transfer responsibility for your project to the reviewer, and it does not create an architect-client relationship between you and the reviewer unless a separate written agreement says so. It also does not make permit approval any more certain.

4. Your account

You need an account to use the service. You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for everything that happens under your account. Tell us promptly if you think someone else has access to it.

You must be at least 18 and legally able to enter a contract. If you sign up on behalf of a business, you confirm you are authorised to bind that business to these terms. The contractor license number you enter must be one you actually hold and that is valid in the state you enter.

5. Acceptable use

Use MyDraftDesk for legitimate construction work you are licensed and authorised to perform. Do not use it to:

We may suspend or close an account that does these things.

6. Your projects are yours

You keep ownership of the project details you enter, the files you upload, and the plan sets generated for you. You grant us only the limited permission needed to run the service for you: to store that material, to send the relevant parts to our AI provider so a set can be drafted, and to make a submitted set visible to the licensed architect reviewing it.

You are responsible for what you build from a plan set. Review anything before you rely on it, particularly dimensions, structural figures and code references.

7. AI-generated content

Sheet content, clarifying questions and code research are produced with the help of an AI model. AI output can be wrong, incomplete or out of date. Building codes change, jurisdictions interpret them differently, and a research result is not an authoritative statement of what your building department will require.

We do not warrant that generated content is accurate, complete, original, or compliant with the rules of your jurisdiction. You are the professional in this arrangement. Check it.

8. Availability

We aim to keep the service running, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may carry out maintenance, and we may change or remove features. Where a change is significant, we will tell you.

Generation depends on our servers and on third-party services. A run can fail for reasons outside our control, and the app will show you the error when that happens. Revisions submitted with no connection are queued on your device and retried, but we do not guarantee delivery of a queued revision if the app data is cleared or the device is lost.

9. No guarantee of results

We make no promise about permit outcomes, review turnaround, jobs won, time saved or revenue. Any example content on our website is illustrative and is not a representation of what you will get.

10. Pricing and billing

Pricing is not set and nothing is currently being charged for pilot access. If and when paid plans are introduced, we will publish the terms and give you notice before any charge applies to you. Joining the pilot creates no contract to pay, no charge and no obligation on either side.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, the service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, lost business, lost data, construction defects, rework, permit rejections, delays, or fines arising from your use of a generated plan set. Our total liability in any 12-month period is limited to the amount you paid us in that period, and where you have paid us nothing, to one hundred United States dollars.

Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

12. Ending the agreement

You can stop using the service and delete your account at any time. See the data deletion instructions. We can suspend or terminate an account that breaches these terms, or that we are legally required to close.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the current version. For material changes we will give notice by email before they take effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the new terms.
