How to delete a single project and its uploads, and how to delete your MyDraftDesk account and everything in it.
Email privacy@mydraftdesk.com from the address on your account with the subject Delete my account. We confirm within 5 business days and complete the deletion within 30 days.
Option 1. Delete one project
Use this when you want a single job gone, usually because it holds a customer's property address and photographs, but you want to keep your account and your other work.
- Open the project from Projects.
- Choose Delete project.
- Its project details, uploaded photos, site plans and estimates, every generated version of the plan set, the assumptions and code findings, the clarifying questions and answers, and the revision history are deleted with it.
If a set has already been submitted for architect review, the review record is deleted along with it and the reviewing architect loses access.
If you cannot reach the app, email privacy@mydraftdesk.com from your account address with the project name and we will delete it for you.
Option 2. Delete your account and all data
Send an email to privacy@mydraftdesk.com from the email address registered to your account, with the subject line Delete my account. Include your company name if you know it.
We verify the request comes from the account holder, confirm receipt within 5 business days, and complete deletion within 30 days.
What gets deleted
- Your login and account record.
- Your contractor profile, including company name, license number and state.
- Every project, with its category, address, dimensions, structure options, features and finish.
- Every file you uploaded: photos, site plans and estimates.
- Every generated plan set and every version of it, with its sheets, assumptions and code findings.
- All clarifying questions and your answers to them.
- All revision requests, typed or dictated.
- All architect review records and redline notes on your projects.
What does not get deleted, and why
- PDFs you already exported. Once a plan set is exported and saved to your device, emailed to a client, or filed with a permit office, that copy is outside our system. Delete it where it now lives.
- Anything already submitted to a permit office or a third party. Those records belong to them and are usually kept under their own retention rules.
- Encrypted backups. Residual copies may remain in backups for a short period before being overwritten on the normal cycle. They are not accessible for ordinary use.
- Records we must keep by law, such as billing and tax records, retained only for as long as the law requires.
Deletion cannot be undone, and a plan set cannot be recovered once it is gone. If you only want to stop using the app, leave the account in place and stop signing in. That keeps your projects available should you come back.
