For licensed outdoor living contractors
Enter the project once. MyDraftDesk drafts the full sheet set, sizes the structure, and routes it to a licensed architect for review.
Fourteen sheets, in this order, every time. The numbering is the sheet index, not a marketing device.
Four moves. The middle two are the ones other tools skip.
Category, address, dimensions, structure options, features and finish. Dimensions are entered in feet and inches. There is no decimal field anywhere in the app.
Genuine ambiguity comes back as a clarifying question instead of a quiet assumption. Answer it once and that answer is carried into every later regeneration.
A deterministic calculator sizes the structure. Code and zoning research runs against your jurisdiction. A second independent pass checks the whole set before anything is saved.
Every set is saved as pending architect review. An architect approves it or sends it back with redlines. Nothing marks itself ready.
"Move the posts to the corners." "Client wants a 12 foot ceiling instead." Type it or dictate it. The set regenerates and the version number moves, with the previous version kept so you can compare the two side by side.
Nothing in the set is presented as a stamped calculation. Each figure lands as an assumption you can verify or correct, and a value you have corrected is honoured on every future regeneration instead of being computed over.
Coverage today
The generation pipeline is built and verified for one structure type: patio covers and pergolas. Every other category on this list is visible so you can see where the product is going, and is greyed out in the app so it cannot be selected.
A category joins the live list only once the structural calculator and the code research genuinely cover it. Turning one on is not a switch in the interface.
Bright sun, dirty hands, one bar of signal. The interface was designed against those three conditions rather than adapted to them.
Submit a revision with no signal and it is held, not lost. It stays queued through navigation and app restarts, and retries when the connection comes back.
Speech to text is wired into the revision panel, so a change can be spoken while your hands are covered in something. Your device does the transcription.
Session unlock uses the biometric check already on your phone, so a shared truck is not a shared account.
Attach jobsite photos, an existing site plan, or a written estimate at intake. The pipeline reads them.
Export the set as a PDF for the permit office, the client, or your own file.
Dimensions are entered the way they are called on site. A decimal field is a typo waiting to become a framing error, so the app does not have one.
Generation ends with the set marked pending architect review. A licensed architect opens it, reads the assumptions and the code findings, and either approves it or returns it with redlines. Until that happens the set is not marked ready and the app does not pretend otherwise.
MyDraftDesk does not seal drawings and is not a substitute for a licensed architect or engineer of record on your project. It cannot promise that any plan set will be approved by any permit office. Permitting is decided by your jurisdiction on its own terms, and verifying local code compliance remains your responsibility as the licensed contractor.
Written down so you find it here first
This is the list a demo would leave out. It is accurate as of the current build.
Sheets are generic blueprint-style layouts. The computed content is real and attached to each sheet as notes, but there is no vector or CAD rendering behind it.
Anything that is not a patio cover or a pergola cannot generate. The app refuses rather than producing something that looks like a plan set and is not one.
Takeoff, vendors, annotations and the permit checklist show sample content, not your project. Treat them as a preview of the shape, not as data.
When an architect approves a set or requests changes, nothing pushes to your phone yet. You will see it the next time you open the project.
Approval is recorded in the app. There is no professional seal or signature captured on the sheets themselves.
MyDraftDesk is in a working pilot with a narrow scope. Pricing is not set and nothing is being charged.
The pilot wants real projects from licensed contractors, not test data. Send the category, the jurisdiction you build in, and roughly how many sets a month you would draw.
One email is enough. We reply with what the pilot covers today and what it does not.
